#1, how much oil did you put in when you filled it back up? Was that including the oil filter (i.e. did you put oil in it first?) #2, did you let the car warm up to operating temp before you drove it? My TT I normally ran with 5qts in it at all times... ran GREAT, and never smoked (until I had the coolant smoking from the head gasket under in gear deceleration), but if I drove it before it warmed up and got over 2500 rpms, the oil pressure went through the roof... like I almost pegged it once... but if I let it warm up completely, and then drove it, or stayed under 2500, oil pressure was fine... 45 idle, 60 driving, 90 highway...
